The BLS and Safeguarding Adults and Children Level 3 course is suitable for healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, allied healthcare profesisonals  requiring their yearly mandatory training in basic life support, anaphylaxis, placing a patient in recovery position and use of an AED in primary care settings. There is also a presentation by a safeguarding lecturer on Safeguarding Adults and Children Level 3.

Aims

This classroom course is a practical session that includes a workshop on basic life support, anaphylaxis, recovery position and Safeguardign Adults and Children Level 3.

Learning Objectives

1. Develop practical skills in performing CPR and managign anaphylaxis in primary care.

2. Have an understanding of Safeguarding Children and Adults Level 3 and agencies to contact when safeguarding concerns arise.

3. Update knowledge and skills in safeguarding, analhylaxis, basic life support and use of AED machine.

The mandatory training for health and social care workers modules are guided by the following:

  • Standards set by the Health and Care Professions Council and the Care Quality Commission
  • The Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidance for health and social care workers
  • UK Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) aligned
  • CQC frameworks’ and guidance for mandatory training for healthcare support staff

 We have used material from Trainer Courses and include presentations delivered by experts in the field. Some of the learning units are accreditted by CPDUK,
