Who should Attend

This update is for nurses, doctors, paramedics, pharmacists and allied health professionals who want to update their knowledge of specific chronic conditions seen in the older patient in nursing homes and primary care. 

Session Aims

This session will explore the latest guidelines and prescribing options in managing diabetes, cardiovascular and respiratory disease in general practice.

Session Objectives

At the end of this session you will:

  • Update knowledge of latest prescribing options for diabetes, hypertension and asthma.
  • Recognise symptoms indicating a worsening of the condition and identify appropriate resources available to support management strategies.
  • Have an opportunity to discuss common concerns through interactive participation and questioning of lecturers who are specialists in each area.
