This course is for independent non medical prescribers and clinicians working in advanced roles seeing and treating adults with minor ailments in primary care.

This update will explore latest guidance on managing common minor illness presentations in general practice, the community, walk in centre’s and urgent care.
Update knowledge of changes in practice and current guidelines in managing common minor ailments.

Dr Rakesh Chopra
Dr Rakesh Chopra MS DNB FRCS MRCGP. Is a nationally recognised teache of ENT in Primary Care. He is an ENT GPSI `and had nearly 14 years experience in hospital based ENT prior to that. He has been extensively involved in the development and teaching of ENT in General Practice. His models and published pathways in ENT have gained wide appeal and are now used all over the country. He has multiple international publications in ENT. He has been the referee for the ENT section of the Journal of the Royal Society for Promotion of Health. He also has a degree module in Allergy from the National Respiratory Training Centre. He has contributed articles for the Pulse and GP magazine and the BIDA journal.
Dr Parmy Deol
Dr Parmy Deol, A&E consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and dua trained GP. Dr Deol leads the urgent care centre at Chelsea and teaches extensively on innovative methods of practice. Dr Deol provides training on blood results interpretation and teaches on the minor illness modules. His othe teachings include training on point of care ultrasound to support diagnosis in primary care.
Dr Sanjeev Kalia
|Dr Kalia is a GP in a busy urban clinic with extensive experience in managing patients in genera practice, dealing with issues of modern medicine, such as difficult consultations, challenging social issues, lack of appointments and fun consultations. His recent roles have focussed on teaching nd delivering healthcare in an evolving and dynamic landscape and has adapted to changes in the digitalisation of healthcare. He is the founder of “MyPillCheck.co.uk” which questions the delivery fo healthcare and how it can be challenged and improved.|
