Course Title: Minor Injuries Assessment and Management Course
Target Audience: Advanced Practitioners, Nurses, Paramedics, Pharmacists, and Allied Healthcare Professionals
Duration: 3 Days (Classroom-Based)

Course Overview
This hands-on Minor Injuries Course equips healthcare professionals with the skills to assess, diagnose, and managecommon minor injuries safely and effectively. Gain expertise in musculoskeletal injuries, burns, bites, head and spinal trauma, and develop critical clinical decision-making abilities, including red flag recognition and appropriate referrals.

- Develop practical skills in splinting, strapping & wound care
- Manage burns, bites, head, and spinal injuries with confidence

- Write clear and structured medico-legal reports
Course Structure & Topics
Day 1: Head, Spine, Burns & Medico-Legal Aspects
🟢 Head & Spinal Injuries – GCS assessment, red flags, immobilization techniques
🟢 Burns & Bites – Classification, first aid, wound care, infection prevention
🟢 Legal & Ethical Considerations – Consent, documentation, duty of care
🟢 Medico-Legal Report Writing – Practical workshop on structured statements
Day 2: Upper Limb Injuries & Examination Skills
🟢 Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist & Hand – Anatomy, special tests, red flag indicators
🟢 Practical Examination Session – Hands-on practice using structured assessment sheets
Day 3: Lower Limb Injuries & Neurological Assessment
🟢 Hip, Knee, Ankle & Foot – Common injuries, range of motion tests, clinical signs
🟢 Neurological & Vascular Assessment – Dermatomes, reflexes, peripheral pulses
🟢 Final Practical Session & Course Wrap-Up
