This  workshop is tailored for clinicians and pharmacists wanting to develop their clinical reasoning and physical examination competencies in primary care, urgent care, and general practice. With a strong focus on hands-on practice, participants will improve confidence in  examination techniques for the head, neck, chest, abdomen, and musculoskeletal systems

Workshop Content

1. Head and Neck Examination
   • Detailed assessment: lymph nodes, thyroid, cranial nerves.
   • Identifying abnormal findings: goitre, facial asymmetry, and swollen lymph nodes.
   • Red flags: severe headaches, visual disturbances, and neck stiffness.
2. Chest and Cardiovascular Examination
   • Heart auscultation: murmurs, rubs, and gallops.
   • Lung evaluation: percussion, auscultation, and respiratory distress markers.
   • Red flags: abnormal heart sounds, wheezing, and crackles.
3. Abdominal Examination
   • Inspection, palpation, percussion, and auscultation techniques.
   • Common conditions: appendicitis, liver disease, and hernias.
   • Red flags: acute abdomen, peritonitis, and abdominal masses.
4. Neurological  and ENT Examination
   • Full neurological assessment: motor, sensory, reflexes, and coordination.
   • Identifying deficits: stroke, neuropathy, and nerve compression.
   • Red flags: sudden weakness, sensory loss, and altered consciousness.
5. Interactive Practical Session
   • Hands-on practice of head, neck, chest, and abdominal examination techniques.
   • Peer assessment and expert feedback to refine skills.
