Session Aims

This session provides an update of current prescribing guidelines for prescribing in primary care.

Objectives

  1. Explore current guidelines for prescribing in primary care.
  2. Identify and audit safe prescribing and monitoring of amber level drugs.
  3. Develop skills in auditing management of patients with respiratory conditions, on anti depressants and opiates in primary care.
  4. Recognise importance of auditing and reviewing prescribing practices in general practice.
