Course Overview

This 2-day blended learning research workshop is designed for General Practice Nurses (GPNs) transitioning into the Advanced Practice Programme (APP). The workshop is mapped against the four pillars of practice: Clinical Practice, Leadership and Management, Education, and Research. It aims to equip participants with the necessary research skills to enhance their clinical practice and contribute to the evidence base in primary care.

Course Duration: 2 days Format: Blended learning with online modules, face-to-face workshops, interactive sessions, and practical assessments.

Curriculum Aims

  1. To provide a comprehensive understanding of research methodologies and their application in clinical practice.
  2. To enhance the ability to critically appraise and apply research findings to improve patient care.
  3. To develop leadership and management skills in implementing evidence-based practice.
