Enhance your clinical confidence in assessing and managing minor injuries with this practical and interactive 3-day course designed for healthcare professionals working in urgent care, general practice, walk-in centres, minor injury units, and emergency departments.This comprehensive minor injuries course provides a structured and practical approach to assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of musculoskeletal, head, and soft tissue injuries. Delivered by an expert faculty including urgent care clinicians, burns specialists, and senior emergency practitioners, the course combines live teaching, hands-on workshops, and e-learning for maximum impact.

🦴 Upper Limb Injuries

  • Shoulder: Clinical history, red flag screening, ROM assessment, rotator cuff and AC joint injuries

  • Elbow: Common fractures and dislocations, clinical tests, safeguarding considerations

  • Wrist & Hand: Sprains, fractures, tendon/ligament injuries, neurovascular checks, discussion of splinting techniques

🦵 Lower Limb Injuries

  • Knee: Ligament and meniscal injuries, special tests (Lachman’s, McMurray’s)

  • Ankle & Foot: Ottawa Ankle Rules, Achilles rupture screening, fracture identification

  • Use of clinical decision tools in real-world scenarios

🧠 Head & Cervical Spine Injuries

  • Application of NICE Head Injury Guidelines

  • Red flag signs and safeguarding triggers

  • Cervical spine clearance using the Canadian C-Spine Rule

🔥 Burns, Bites  & Wound Care

  • Burn classification and first aid principles

  • Minor burns and scalds management

  • Wound closure options (glue, steri-strips, simple sutures)

  • Dressing selection, infection control, and documentation
