Rapid Tranquilisation

 

Aims:

  • To understand when and how to use rapid tranquilisation in clinical settings.
  • To explore the risks and benefits of rapid tranquilisation.
  • To highlight the importance of continuous monitoring and patient safety.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this module, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the indications for rapid tranquilisation.
  2. Describe commonly used medications and their risks.
  3. Understand de-escalation techniques and non-pharmacological interventions.
  4. Ensure appropriate monitoring and post-intervention care.
