Chartered Clinical Psychologist and a full member of the British Psychological Society. She is registered with the Health Professionals Council and has over 20 years’ experience in providing psychological assessments and treatments to children and their families. As well as working independently, Leah is an established NHS Clinical Psychologist working with the Paediatric Team at The Hillingdon Hospital in West London.

Aims:

  • To provide healthcare professionals with insights into cognitive, emotional, and social development in teenagers.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Recognise how neurodevelopment influences common adolescent challenges, including mental health disorders, addiction, and social interactions.
  2. Apply effective communication techniques to engage with teenagers in clinical and educational settings.
  3. Identify red flags for mental health issues and know when to refer adolescents for further assessment and support.
