Dr Ahmed Kazmi
Dr Ahmed Kazmi is a Melbourne-based specialist dermatologist and clinical senior lecturer. He is a member of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.
He undertook his medical training in the UK, obtaining his medical degree from the University of Birmingham, then trained and worked as a GP before re-training as a consultant dermatologist at prestigious institutions including The Royal London Hospital and The Royal Free Hospital.
He enjoys all areas of dermatology but has particular expertise in hair and scalp disorders (alopecia) and medical education. He is an advocate for holistic, patient-centred, and inclusive care.
He is a keen medical educator and regularly teaches medical students,
dermatology and GP trainees, and medical peers. He is the course chair and main writer for HealthCert’s upcoming medical trichology course.
When not consulting or teaching, he is an award-winning comedian and cabaret artist, having participated in numerous festivals such as Edinburgh Fringe and Adelaide Fringe with his brand of wholesome ‘comedy with a point’.
He is currently the resident doctor on Channel 7’s ‘House of Wellness’.
